Transition to Year 7
At Hazel Wood, we provide our Year 7 pupils with the help and support they will need for a successful transition to High School. They are a team of Year 7 teachers, who will teach them English and Maths and who are also form teachers so your child will get to know the team really well. We pride ourselves on developing relationships that will support our pupils on settling into becoming part of our Hazel Wood family. Each Key Stage has a Director, as well as each year group also having a Pastoral Year Lead to help support your child with any issues that arise
Our curriculum design is very hands on and has been created with the intent of building upon all the foundations that pupils have developed in Key Stage 2.

We are also immensely proud of our school and welcome visitors to see staff and students at work. In regards to new admissions to our school community this is predominantly done through our Open Evening (which takes place in September) and Transition Days (which take place in the Summer Term prior to students starting at Hazel Wood).
