Welcome to Hazel Wood High School
We appreciate how difficult the current situation is for many of you who will be moving to High School this September.
It has meant that we have needed to do things a little differently this year. As we cannot welcome you in person our team have been working very hard to develop ways in which we can provide you with the information that you need to know and to answer some of the questions that you may have. As resources become available we will add them to our page so that you can find everything all in one place.
Change, in any form, can be daunting and we want to help by creating a page especially for you. We hope that the content on this page helps you, and you parents, to find out a little more about the school and to feel part of the Hazel Wood family from the very beginning.
We look forward to welcoming you, and your families, to your new school soon where your Hazel Wood Journey will begin.
If you have not yet returned your yellow form you must do this now. We need this before your child can start at Hazel Wood High School in September. Please ensure that this is with us by Wednesday 15th July.
I have a question, who do I speak to?
We hope that you find this area of the website useful. However, we realise that speaking to someone can be even more beneficial. We have arranged for members of the Year 7 team to be available to answer any questions or talk about any concerns that you may have.
If you are a parent and you or your child have questions, between now and the end of Summer Term, you can speak with a member of our Year 7 team.
Please ring our school reception on 0161 797 6543 on a Tuesday, between 9am and 12pm and ask to speak to Mrs Hunter or Mrs Davison. Our staff will do all they can to answer any questions you may have.
We are continuing to work with Year 6 schools to ensure the process is as smooth as it can be, given the challenges that we are all facing. Schools are welcome to contact us if they have any questions that they would like help with. Some copies of the letters we have sent to schools have been added to this page but we know that this is a challenging time for many.
If you have a question or concern please do talk to us or your Year 6 school. We are committed to working together to do all that we can to support you through this change.
