Community Coffee Morning and Certificates of Courage

Posted on Monday 24th February 2020

Hazel Wood High School hosted a 'Community Coffee Morning' to introduce our new Community Policing Team to our parents and carers. It was lovely to see so many of our families. We welcomed James Daly MP, Deputy Mayor  Mrs Haroon, Members of Topping Fold Community Youth Club, Ayesha Arif and ladies from Bury Asian/Bury Active Woman's Centre, Radcliffe Rotary Club, leaders from our community mosques and partners from the local authority.

It was delightful to see so many people from our wide ranging diverse community coming together to socialise, and now following on from today, plans have been made for future community events.

At this special event, Mr Daly, presented Certificates of Courage to Curtis Hill and Mark Pullan for assisting a member of the public who had fallen and was in need of the emergency services, we are very proud of these students and were thrilled when Mr Daly invited them on a trip to Parliament in London as a really special reward.
