Year 6 Primary Visits - Lockdown Style
Mrs Hunter Head of Year 11 and Transition and Mrs Davison head of Year 7, presented our feeder Primaries with a wrapped afternoon tea parcel.
Despite not being able to hold our usual Open Evening Extravaganza we have still endeavoured to engage with our primary schools in an exciting and inviting way. All of our feeder primary schools were sent flyers and prospectus's that advertised our school and directed prospective pupils to our website and opportunities to meet or speak to myself or Mrs Davison. As well as this, our 6 main feeder primaries were sent a wrapped Afternoon Tea parcel. Inside the parcel were the flyers and prospectus, but also cakes and juice for the pupils and coffee for the staff. We then held a virtual open event with each primary school, during which time the pupils enjoyed the cake and juice and were given the opportunity to ask as many questions as they liked. This was a huge success and over the week Mrs Davison and I spoke to over 250 children.
In conjunction with this we also oversaw the creation of a promotional video for our school, which is now on the website!
