We are pleased to invite our Year 11 students back for Results Day on the 20th August.
The structure of the day will look a little different to previous years to ensure the safety of our school community.
Parents/Carers: you will be sent a text message and letter week beginning 6th July. This will inform you of your child's:
- Appointment slot
- Location of appointment
It is important that your child enters school alone, or with one other adult guardian.
If you do not receive a text or letter please contact school who will be happy to help and will update your contact details, where required.
We will have our post 16 teacher advisor and careers advisor on site for any support or guidance. We have also invited Bury College and Holy Cross to attend for those who may wish to discuss their options for further education. This will be confirmed in due course.
We look forward to seeing your child on the 20th.
How Have Grades Been Calculated?
Grades have been submitted to the exam boards based on a collation of evidence including past results papers, class work, legacy and recent data and assessment results.
The process has been checked at different levels to ensure pupils have been given a fair and accurate prediction. As a school it is possible that we may be quality assured by the Department of Education and exam boards and pupils work can be requested to evidence the grade/s that we have predicted.
These predictions are then collated by the exam boards and calculations are made across national data. They then give their final prediction.
Any concerns or complaints about the grades can be made to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are unhappy about the prediction it is possible for your child to sit the exam at a later date. Further guidance can be provided, on request, by emailing the above email address.
