Casual Exam Invigilator

Salary: Grade 3, £9.43 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary, casual zero hour contract

Required from 16th May 2022 - 28th June 2022

Oak Learning Partnership are seeking to appoint enthusiastic individuals, (minimum age of 18) to join our dedicated team of invigilators.

The primary purpose of an invigilator is to supervise pupils undertaking school examinations in accordance with legal and school requirements. The role of the invigilator requires standing and occasional walking to be able to oversee the candidates.


The successful candidate must ensure that all JCQ regulatory requirements for the conduct of examinations are strictly adhered to. The exam season this year runs from 16th May 2022 to 28th June 2022 and we are looking for candidates that are available to work as much as possible throughout this period. We are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.


Experience of invigilation is not essential as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided. Invigilators are required to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them. Invigilators are required to confirm their availability in advance of main exam periods. Invigilators must confirm the confidentiality and security requirements surrounding the invigilation process are known, understood and will be followed at all times.


We are looking for an ideal candidate who will;

·         Be reliable, flexible and readily available during main exam periods

·         Have effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills

·         Work well as part of a team

·         Be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms

·         Be able to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people

·         Have basic IT skills (familiar with use if email, mobile phone messaging etc.)
