CyberFirst Trip – Exploring AI, Coding, and Digital Creativity
On Monday, 17th November, a group of our Year 8 and Year 9 pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to the Accenture Centre in Manchester for the CyberFirst event.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of engaging activities. They competed to identify what was real and what was AI-generated, and used Discord to create stunning digital images from written prompts—showcasing their creativity and language skills.
They also explored online safety by examining real-world scenarios and learning how digital architects assess risk. Later, pupils got hands-on with coding and robotics using Sphero Edu, programming robots to navigate mazes and even simulate interplanetary travel!
It was an inspiring day that sparked curiosity and imagination, giving our pupils a fantastic insight into the world of technology and innovation.
