Gifted and Talented Scientists at Hazel Wood

12 students from Hazel Wood were selected to take part in a Gifted and Talented Science competition hosted by Holy Cross College on Monday 3rd July.
Our students represented the school with honour, winning the prize for designing the best electric car. The two students who claimed the prize, Scarlett Watson and Zainab Syeda, were presented with their trophy by the Mayor of Bury Cllr Sandra Walmsley.
All of the Hazel Wood students involved were complimented by staff about their smartness of uniform, attitude to the work and their responsibility towards the college environment. Mr Furey and Ms Clark were proud to be able to take our students to this prestigious event and to see them representing themselves and the school so well.
