Neighbourhood Policing Week and Knife Crime Awareness Session
As part of the Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, which began on 23rd June and celebrated the vital work of neighbourhood policing teams, Hazel Wood High School welcomed PC Nadeem, School Engagement Officer, for an important educational session.
PC Nadeem delivered a powerful presentation on knife crime to students in Years 7, 8, 9, and 10, focusing on the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife. The session covered key topics including the law, personal safety, and the impact of knife crime on individuals and communities.
Students also received guidance on how to report incidents, where to seek help, and information about support services available through police partners. The session aimed to empower young people with knowledge and encourage safe, informed choices.
