Return to School Update January 2022

Posted on Sunday 2nd January 2022

COVID Update: Following all the new government advice issued on Sunday 2nd January 2022, we are ready to re-open as planned on Wednesday 5th January 2022. All days, including Wednesday, will be normal school days and we are operating our usual school timings. The only notable change to the National guidance is that we are now again required to wear masks in the classroom, as well as communal areas.

Just some other quick reminders:

Please remember attendance at school remains a legal obligation for all parents and a high priority for us as a school. Every second of education counts.

On our return in January, we will be testing all students that have given prior consent. Please let us know if you would like your son or daughter to be tested, especially if you have not given consent before - and we can send you a consent form.

All our children should bring a mask of their own to wear in January. If your child is exempt, please provide medical evidence and we can arrange for them to wear an exemption lanyard and badge.

Please support us in continuing to follow rules around ventilation and hand sanitising.

Please continue to perform twice-weekly LFT testing at home.

As you know, we continue to drive the school forward in all that we do and one of our main aims is to continue to have high standards of uniform. Can we please emphasise the need for you to support us in making sure this is adhered to, on our return - especially rules around girls not wearing leggings for school; the need for our young people to wear the right shoes and also a reminder that they can only wear one plain ear stud in the ear and no other facial piercings. Please see our Uniform page for more information.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Wednesday.
