Hazel Wood High School Community Activity Day POSTPONED

Due to weather conditions we have made the decision to postpone the event we had scheduled this week. The new date will be advised soon where all families are invited to come and join The Mayor of Bury, members of our local community, the Hazel Wood High School Council, representatives from the Radcliffe Rotary Club and members of each form to help clean up our local environment.

The Qadria Jillania Mosque in Bury

On Thursday 30th January, Hazel Wood High School were invited to visit The Qadria Jillania Mosque in Bury. The headteacher Mr Greenhalgh, Family & Engagement Coordinator Mrs Jones and EAL Coordinator Ms Saima visited the mosque and met with Mr Ali who showed us around the mosque. Furthermore, On Monday 3rd February, Hazel Wood High were invited to The Jamia Khizra Masjid in Bury and met with Mr Arshad, the secretary of the mosque.

Coronavirus – Advice for all Schools

The government is closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus and is taking action at home and abroad.

The overall risk of Coronavirus to the UK remains moderate. However we understand that people may be concerned where there are children, students or staff returning from or visiting China.

Reed Performing Arts College Visit

Afternoon Tea with the Mayor & Mayoress of Bury

On Tuesday 21st January a group of students from our Student Council had the great honour representing Hazel Wood High School and were invited for afternoon tea with the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Trevor and Evelyn Holt, at the Town Hall.
